E*Trade Securities has launched a direct-access trading platform for customers of the group's Power Platinum programme.
E*Trade Pro delivers multiple streaming Nasdaq Level II quote windows, streaming intraday charts, streaming watch lists, point and click trading for fast order entry, and live order status, account positions and buying power. The platform also gives Power Platinum customers their choice of order routing, providing direct access to ECNs (Electronic Communication Networks Island, Instinet and Archipelago) or proprietary auto-routing to market centres.
E*Trade Pro is fully integrated with the company's Web-based brokerage service. Eligible customers can download E*Trade Pro to their desktop and start trading instantly, rather than opening a separate account to use direct-access trading software.
The solution is available free of charge to Power E*Trade Platinum customers who trade 75 or more times per calendar quarter.
