Cardis of the Netherlands and Utah-based Smart Chip Technologies (SCTN) are joining forces in a bid to create a combined smart card payment and loyalty solution for e-commerce.
Cardis's Ultimus Solution is a smart card based payment system designed to extend EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) credit and debit card products into micropayment and mobile markets. SCTN is a smart card applications service provider, specialising in the provision of loyalty-based solutions for consumer-owned devices.

Under the agreement Cardis and SCTN will be working closely on joint projects aimed at providing combined electronic banking services linked to customer loyalty programmes throughout North America.
