UK-based Scottish Widows is to deploy Focus Solution's XML-based data capture toolkit for the electronic processing and transacting of new business applications for life and pensions products and policies.
Scottish Widows, now part of the Lloyds TSB Group, will initially use Focus goal:technology package to collect transactions electronically from IFA channels via service providers.
Ian Lockhart, head of e-commerce at Scottish Widows, says Focus will play a key role in the insurance company's drive to increase time to market for new products and to reduce the costs of acquiring new business, particularly among the IFA community.
