Technical failures shut down Euronext

Pan-European exchange Euronext failed to open this morning following technical problems in the Amsterdam trading system which caused overnight orders to be missing from the order book.

Euronext says the Amsterdam exchange has now solved the problem, and ensured that the order book is up to date.

Trading in listed securites will re-commence at 11.30am. Options trading will switched on "soon thereafter", says the exchange.
