Italian investment bank Banca IMI, is to use middleware technology from SeeBeyond to integrate its internal and external banking processes across market, trade and counterparty data.
The bank says it will deploy SeeBeyond's eBI Suite to connect its front office applications with external markets and to integrate front and back office applications. The bank aims to achieve real time, end-to-end straight through processing, with full trade visibility across counterparty, geography and instrument.
Robert Grazioli, chief information officer for Banca IMI, says the bank was looking for an integration infrastructure that would "create, simplify and manage the data and process integration for all components involved in the various internal and external, market, trade and counterparty processes".
He says SeeBeyond's eBI Suite will operate as a "digital nervous system" for all Banca IMI's information systems.
