Under the programme, which went live in June, customers using the bank's ATMs will be given the choice on the menu screen to top-up their mobile phone credits, through the use of a payments card. Any mobile operator's customer with a card that can be accepted by Bank Zachodni WBK can use this service.

Nomad's Cortex product suite verifies the card details and allows the transaction to take place in real time.

Bank Zachodni WBK's Card Centre Manager, says: "As the use of cashcards intensifies in Poland, this service will provide our customers with a quick and convenient way to top-up their mobile phones whilst on the move...The scheme also illustrates the diversity of the ATM and its potential to be made even more user-friendly."
