Unibanca and American Express have signed an agreement under which the Venezuelan banking operation will emit American express credit cards.
Unibanca Banco Universal will be responsible for all transactions and matters related to the cards including local marketing and 24-hour customer services.
The cards will be accepted globally and will be available from late 2001.
