British Bankers Association tracks direct banking services

The British Bankers' Association has introduced a direct banking tracker chart which is to be made available on its Web site.

The chart will list banks that offer direct banking services and provide details of the type of services available and the channels of delivery through which the services can be provided.

Ian Mullen, chief executive of the BBA says that with so many different providers offering direct banking in different ways, it can be difficult for consumers to know exactly who is providing what.

"The new tracker chart will provide a single reference point for customers to get an overview of what is on offer and who the players are," he says.
