The American Stock Exchange has selected Intel Online Services to provide managed hosting services for its trading information Web sites.
The IT company will manage the AmEx network infrastructure, including data back-up, Web site servers and operating system software for the Exchange's Web sites.
Customised monitoring capabilities to manage the network that connects the stock exchange to third-party market data vendors have been developed to provide Intel with immediate notification of network issues and problems.
Dalibor Vrsalovic, president, Intel Online Services, says: "Intel Online Services provides a flexible hosting platform and business engagement process that allows customers, like the AmEx, to outsource the management of their Web site information technology with confidence and security."
