The New York Mercantile Exchange is planning to offer Nymex Access electronic trading over the Internet from 4 September.

New system user agreements are available from the Exchange's Web site and must be signed before users will be authorised to trade.

Products that will be available for after-hours trading over the site will include light, sweet crude oil futures; heating oil futures; unleaded gasoline futures; natural gas futures; propane futures; platinum futures; gold futures; silver futures; copper futures; aluminum futures; and palladium futures. Brent crude oil futures will go live on the Web from 6 September.

The electronic system will no longer offer trading in Exchange options contracts, beginning with the 20 September trading session.

Exchange president Robert Collins, says: "We are delighted to expand the availability and flexibility of our electronic trading platform by making it more readily available to a far wider audience."
