Swinton buys Screentrade customer base from Misys

UK insurance intermediary Swinton has bought the Screentrade customer base from Misys for an undisclosed sum.
Under the agreement, Swinton takes on the responsibility for the management of some 25,000 customers who had previously bought insurance policies through Misys’ B2C Internet business. In addition to online service, the former Screentrade customers will gain access to Swinton's network of 260 branches and 12,000 insurance advisers.
The move follows the sale of the Screentrade brand and domain names to Lloyds TSB Insurance Services at the end of July.
