UK mortgage lender Britannia Building Society is to use Interwoven's content infrastructure Web development tools to deliver a suite of transactional and information-based services for home buyers.
"We will be offering our customers links to key sites that can provide valuable information on areas such as do-it-yourself home improvements, alarm systems and moving assistance," says Britannia's head of information systems, Martin Ellison.
Interwoven's Content Infrastructure product suite includes products for content aggregation, online collaboration, and management and distribution of Web-based data. At Britannia it will be used to reduce the time taken for Web editors to manage and manipulate the company's online content.
The building society's future online plans involve delivering quotations and product applications via the Web.
"The Web is an integral part of Britannia's future business strategy," says Ellison. He adds that it is Britannia's aim to be viewed by customers as "an invaluable as well as relevant reference source throughout the home-buying process and beyond."
