Startupbootcamp is inviting fintech geeks to take part in a 48-hour, payments infrastructure-focussed hackathon in London next month.
The 'Fintechathon' - being run with the Open Bank Project and Xignite - aims to "radically rethink the payments process from end to end and bring it up to date with current thinking, tech architecture, capabilities, methodology and tools".
Coders, bankers, design experts, and entrepreneurs are all invited to register for the event, which will take place from 11 April at the Rainmaking Loft, a 10,000 square foot start-up hub next to Tower Bridge.
The winning team will be fast-tracked to the June pitch day for Startupbootcamp Fintech, a three month accelerator programme that is being backed by Lloyds, Rabobank and MasterCard.
Starting in August at the Rainmaking Loft, the programme will see up to 10 startups gain access to EUR15,000 in cash, EUR450,000 in partner services, free office space, access to mentors and exposure to VCs and angel investors. In exchange, Startupbootcamp Fintech will take an eight per cent stake in each firm.
Startupbootcamp's Nektarios Liolios is among a host of top speakers joining Finextra and Level39 at the two-day Future Money event in April, which will explore the new wave of innovation sweeping across the financial services sector.
