HSBC is soft-launching an Internet banking service for its existing customers, according to a report in Internet journal, NetImperative.
NetImperative says the new service will enable customers to check balances, pay bills and transfer money between accounts over the Internet. It quotes an HSBC spokesperson: "It's not a standalone internet bank ... it's another channel."
