French bank Crédit Agricole has blamed a "technical error" after accidentally posting details of its seconds quarter results early on its Web site.
The error saw an investor slide presentation on the results that was due to go live this morning make its way onto the site yesterday.
The bank's embarrassment is offset by the impressive results, which show net income of EUR696 million, up from EUR56 million for Q2 2012 and way ahead of analyst predictions, prompting its share price to rise.
Last year Google was forced to suspend trading after its third quarter results were published early thanks to a mistake at its financial printers.
