Coffee chain behemoth Starbucks has set its sights on caffeine-hungry Android owners in Canada and the UK.
The firm has launched its free Android app in the two countries, enabling customers to link their loyalty card to their phone and then use it pay for purchases, manage rewards, check balances and reload, and locate stores.
US Android customers also get an update which adds a widget, PayPal support, PIN code protection, and a view of the My Starbucks Rewards history dashboard.
Adam Brotman, chief digital officer, Starbucks, says: "The expansion of our mobile payment footprint to two of our most important markets is a strong milestone for us, but more importantly, it extends the number of customers who now have a faster and easier way to pay at Starbucks."
