Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has released a Japanese version of its BIDS WorldView Internet reporting product.
The system is used by BBH global custody customers to sort, filter, and view account information regarding cash and securities movements, including real-time trade status and share availability. BBH's new Japanese version includes all essential functions of the English product, including help text, and options to customise reporting labels.
According to Susan Livingston, the partner in charge of BBH's investor services activities in the Asia-Pacific region, the Japanese market is one of significant opportunity. "With the growth of our business in the Asia-Pacific region, we wanted to provide our clients with real time tools in their own language," Livingston says. "We will be the first global custodian to provide a Japanese language workstation to our clients' desks or laptops."
