Bank of Montreal (BMO) is tapping Twitter for its latest marketing ploy, asking customers to tweet their shopping and saving tips for the chance to win $1000.

The bank is calling for participants to tweet their tips using the hashtag #BMOFWTO by 15 April.

The winner will be picked by BMO financial expert, Tina Di Vito and Kimberley Newport-Mimran, president and head designer at womenswear outfit Pink Tartan.

The prize includes $500 credit to the winner's BMO MasterCard and a $500 gift card to use at Pink Tartan's Toronto store.
