National Australia Bank (NAB) has signed up for SunGard's intelliSTOR product for report mining/optical archiving and intelliMATCH for account reconciliation.
NAB will replace all reconciliation systems used in the bank's global network with intelliMATCH. Two hubs, in Melbourne and London, will provide reconciliation services for all types of accounts. The bank will work closely with Perimeter Solutions, SunGard's e-process intelligence representatives in Australia.
Barry Carr, manager, FX & money markets, global implementations, NAB, is responsible for the worldwide roll-out of intelliMATCH and intelliSTOR. He says: "One of the attractions of intelliMATCH is that no interface programming is required to compare differing file formats."
IntelliSTOR, SunGard's enterprise report management solution, will allow users at remote branches to access their own reports from anywhere, electronically. They will be empowered to mine their reports for answers in any field on any page of any report. This solution will ultimately be available to clients, if desired.
Carr comments: "Web-based access allows us to offer the system's full functionality to all branches while having the hardware and support infrastructure only in our hubs. We don't have to run around the world every year installing software updates."
