The platform will rapidly integrate LaSalle's multiple back-end systems into a unified and comprehensive Web-based solution, says the company.

Wealth management customers are being offered round-the-clock access to their unified financial portfolios, can drill down to details of each account, run reports and transfer funds via the Web without visiting a bank or ATM.

Terry McCafferey is senior vice president and director of marketing and product development, wealth management group, at LaSalle Bank. Once the solution has been rolled out to the bank's wealth management customers, he says the bank plans to apply the easyClient solution across multiple units within the bank.

McCafferey cites less development time and reduced cost as reasons for selecting easyClient over other e-business platforms. "The entire solution was developed in less than six months versus an estimated two years for alternative solutions. It cost 20 per cent of what the bank would have spent on other solutions."
