Nyse Euronext launches latency transparency Web site

Editorial

This content has been selected, created and edited by the Finextra editorial team based upon its relevance and interest to our community.

LatencyStats.com has been developed by the exchange's technology arm in conjunction with vendor Corvil "to serve as a basis for best practices in latency transparency".

It offers real-time snapshots of key performance statistics - and methodologies used for collecting and calculating them - with Corvil providing verification. The site also includes a blog and other content and research from Nyse Euronext and Corvil.

LatencyStats.com will initially provide data for the US high-frequency feeds of Nyse ArcaBook and Nyse OpenBook before expanding to cover other US and European markets plus a range of feeds available on the Nyse Technologies SuperFeed platform.

Mark Schaedel, SVP, global data products, Nyse Technologies, says: "We believe that transparency enhances our customers' ability to better understand performance behaviours and monitor our progress in our endless efforts to improve our speed. By working with Corvil, we are able to provide both empirical evidence and transparent methodologies that our customers can trust."
