Hibernia National Bank is offering customers up-to-the-second notification of incoming wire transfers through their pager, digital cell phone or personal computer.
The service complements Hibernia's TowerNET system that provides full-service account maintenance and transactions using common browser technology. Any customers, including small businesses, can also use the instant wire notification service, even if they are not using the TowerNET personal computer system, primarily utilised by corporate customers.
Users can elect to have the instant notifications delivered to multiple e-mail addresses, phones or pagers simultaneously, keeping key company officials updated continuously.
The bank cites shippers and title lawyers as primary candidates for the inhouse developed service
