UK business and investment information vendor Hemscott is to market Sharedetec, an Internet monitoring service from start-up IBNet that focuses on detecting stock market abuse.
Under the agreement, Hemscott will market the Internet surveillance system to its client base of quoted PLCs. The product will be called Hemscott Sharedetec and the two companies will share the revenues that are generated.
Sharedetec is designed to address the threats that the Internet poses to quoted companies through the misuse of bulletin boards and chat rooms for share ramping and abuse.
The Hemscott Sharedetec service will be priced at £5000 per annum to track one company and an additional £1000 per additional name that the subscriber wishes to monitor.
