Dallas-based BancTec and New Jersey's SQN Banking Systems are to offer a combined solution for back office processing, cheque archival and image delivery applications.
The non-exclusive agreement will combine technologies from the two companies, including BancTec's ImageFirst OpenArchive product and SQN's line of Sentry software products.
Joe Uhland, SQN's president, comments: "The agreement with BancTec enables us to jointly offer paperless, day-two applications that utilise image technology to replace manual, paper-handling tasks and procedures. This positions both SQN and BancTec to provide banks with the capability to reduce the losses caused by fraud and the risks related to exception items, and improve overall customer service."
