Danish investment management systems vendor SimCorp led the gainers on the Finextra50 Financial Technology Index last week, as the index fell 1.3% to 65.45. Bravura Solutions, Interactive Data and Fico led the fallers.
From April 2009 onwards, the Finextra50 index will be calculated and reported monthly as of the last Friday of each month.
Gainers
SimCorp rose 16.83% to Dkr722 by close of markets on Friday on the back of several new client wins announced in mid-April. These include Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management and Nomura Bank Luxembourg.
Fidessa also rose at the end of last week, finishing up 10.66% to 960p ahead of a trading update released today, in which it said: "There have been some early signs of recovery in the market, with greater stability within our customer base compared to the turmoil during 2008, as well as some improvements in sentiment."

Interactive Data fell 13.37% to $23.32 after Q1 earnings missed estimates. First-quarter net income was almost flat at $31.9 million, or 33 cents per share. Revenue rose 2.4 percent to $186 million.
