The sticker transmits card information to the merchant's point-of-sale terminal via RFID technology, allowing consumers to "tap" their mobile device on a PayPass reader to complete their transaction.

The mobile payment sticker is tied to a prepaid account and is issued by MetaBank.

MasterCard sees the approach as a bridge to fully integrated contactless payment capabilities using NFC (Near Field Communications) technology.

Art Kranzley, chief emerging technology officer, MasterCard Worldwide, says: "Having a payment capability on the phone is a great way for consumers to see the benefit of having a payment capability in the phone."

So, now any would be mugger can keep an eye open for the sight of a sticker on your mobile device, and know that funds could be available for them to use at the next paypass retailer!  Does each sticker come with medical insurance?

Since sticker can not be EMV than I assume these trnx will be online everywhere. If not than John's predictions will be justified.

My curiosity is about the max trnx amount that can be done with these form factors and theCVM method that will be used.

Cause different criteria according to Mastercard and Visa may confuse Merchants and the cardholders.
