National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has signed for core processing technology from Fidelity National Information Services (FIS).

The bank will initially install the FIS Profile suite in 250 domestic branches before rolling it out at overseas sites.

The vendor says its real-time, multicurrency core system contains all of a bank's customer data and deposit and loan accounts within a single, logical system of record.

Syed Ali Raza, chairman and president, NBP, says: "The Profile solution will enable the bank to vastly improve its customer services, product range and information management on a par with leading global institutions."
