Positive start to 2009 for fintech stocks

Most companies in the Finextra50 Financial Technology Index saw steady rises over the holiday period, driving the index up 3.7% to 60.26 since 19 December. Fair Isaac and Online resources led the gainers, while Gresham and Fundtech led the fallers.

Gainers

Fair Isaac led the gainers, finishing the first Friday of the year up 17.19% on the week before Christmas at $17.25. Just before the holiday break the company announced the a new product release designed specifically to help lending institutions profitably manage the growing volume of delinquencies they face.
