Ivobank, the London-based online bank launched earlier this year, has signed a five year managed services contract with information and communication technology outsourcing specialist Pasporte.
Under the deal, Pasporte will host and manage Ivobank's twin data centres, desktop applications and Local Area Network (LAN).
Launched in the UK, Ireland, Spain and Canada in June, Ivobank specialises in online payments and money transfer services and is targeted at customers of online gaming and retail sites.
Richard Maddams, director, technology and operations, Ivobank, says: "A hosted IT strategy allows us to apply stringent SLAs against the performance and availability of the service. Additionally, Pasporte provides us with access to a variety of IT skills and experience that would be cost prohibitive for us, as a start-up business, to acquire in-house. It also means we can easily flex and scale our IT infrastructure according to business growth."
