More than 400 representatives from banks and 200 leading corporates will convene at the Marina Congress Centre, Helsinki, on 25-26 June to look beyond the practical compliance requirements of operating in the single euro payments area and deal with the strategic questions that banks and corporates must address together if they are to prosper.

The event - supported this year by lead sponsors Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Nordea, Pohjola Bank and Logica - is now in its third year and has established itself as Europe's leading payments conference and exhibition.

EBAday 2008 is focusing on the theme 'Towards end-to-end effectiveness of payments'. The opening afternoon of the two-day event will, for the first time, play host to the corporate community with a series of special interest sessions dedicated to the impact of Sepa on corporates and opportunities for corporate innovation in payments.

This top-level conference and seminar programme at EBAday is complemented by an exhibition showcasing the complete spectrum of payment processing services from leading banks, ACHs, technology vendors and consultancies.

To register for the event and get the latest updates on the speaker programme and agenda, go to www.ebaday.com.

To join the debate online about Sepa and payments trends, log-in to the Finextra Community, where you can write blog posts and comment on news stories and others' blogs. The EBAday community space is where leading figures in the European payments business will be sharing their views leading up to and during the event.
