Brief: Susquehanna opts for Resilience

US based proprietary trader Susquehanna Partners (SP) is expanding its deployment of Resilience Sparc-based fault-tolerant Continuous Availability Servers.

The Resilient servers were considered by SP to have a lower initial costs than a clustered high availability solution and required only one firewall software license per system versus purchasing licenses for every node in a cluster.

Hylton Socher, Susquehanna CIO says the firm needs to firewal information from over 80 external market data services. "We needed to create a highly available and secure environment for the collection and dissemination of data both to and from multiple third party sources," he says.

Follwing this order, the firm will employ over two dozen Resilience systems worldwide.
