The German savings bank will use its Dimension platform for post-trade processing, custody operations and depository banking.

German IT services provider Sparkassen Informatik will host the application for the bank and work with SimCorp as a prime contractor during the implementation process.

Simcorp says Dimension was chosen ahead of competing systems because the software's functionality not only caters for the bank's present needs, but also future requirements such as reporting within international accounting standards.

"Thanks to the flexibility and broad coverage of SimCorp Dimension we are able to replace several proprietary systems," says Reinhard Gemander, area manager, deal settlement and depositary banking, Helaba.
