Union Bank of Norway has signed a three-year $13 million contract with NCR for a range of information technology management services.
Under the agreement, NCR will provide continuous operational monitoring for all IT equipment located in over 300 branches for the Norwegian savings bank. NCR will also manage the bank's e-business network infrastructure, including its Internet banking and internal e-procurement systems.
The remote services are to be provided out of NCR's managed service centre in Oslo. In addition to on-site hardware maintenance, NCR has been contracted to provide database administration, backup and restore functions, and virus control.
