Danske Bank is to use Autonomy's Portal-in-a-Box product to deliver personalised business information to all its 14,000 employees worldwide.
The giant Scandinavian bank, which serves over two million retail customers from offices in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the US and UK, plans to use the Autonomy software to manage the flow of information from 20 different internal sources, as well as newsfeeds and Web pages.
Peter Rasmussen, project director at Danske Bank, comments: "The biggest challenge in the information society is the fact that we are drowning in information."
He says the Autonomy installation will move the bank's information strategy into a new phase, "where the emphasis will be on proactively delivering information to the right user, rather than expecting users to spend valuable time searching for information manually".
Portal-in-a-Box was recently voted Product of the Year 2000 by Scandinavian IT publisher Kapital Data
