The UK arm of National Australia Bank (NAB) has contracted with French smart card systems vendor Axalto for the supply of an online tool for monitoring card personalisation processes.
Axalto says its technology allows NAB UK to streamline supply chain and logistics by reducing paperwork and manual operations.
The service will enable the bank to manage customer requests by providing card tracking and real-time interaction with Axalto's personalisation centres in the UK and France, allowing it to track a particular card or batch and get instant information on production status.
Jeanne Robshaw, relationship manager vendor management at NAB UK, says the Axalto service provides a complete and instantaneous picture of the bank's card issuing processes.
"With an online tool for monitoring production, we will no longer need to send numerous faxes and e-mails, nor make frequent calls to our customer service. This will afford us a considerable time saving," says Robshaw.
