Bank of America is to license ACI's Monad card management system to build the necessary infrastructure to manage multi-application smart cards.
Bank of America will use the Monad product suite to manage the complete life cycle of smart cards and smart card applications including full enrollment, application management, card issuing, personalisation, post-issuance of multi-application smart cards and security.
ACI says its system is used to support more than 20 million multi-application cards on different operating systems/smart card platforms worldwide.
