Germany's Commerzbank is implementing search technology from California-based Verity to improve customer access to information on its corporate Web site.
The vendor's K2 Enterprise (K2E) search technology was selected as part of the bank's customer-focused Web initiative, which aims to improve customer access to online information from a single point.
Verity says its K2E system will enable Commerzbank's users to locate information on the banks' Web site quickly and easily. The product's advanced categorisation capability also allows each of the bank's business units to organise content to meet its unique business requirements, through the use of business rules for each business area.
Commenting on the implementation Willi Sonntag, Commerzbank Group's director of communications, says: "Verity's K2E provides a personalised and secure access point to Commerzbank Group's knowledge, making a reality of our desire to bring together central tasks for the whole company while allowing specific definition of content as it applies to each business unit."
Hugo Sluimer, Verity's SVP of Emea and Apac, adds: "Commerzbank recognised its Web site as a crucial source of information for its customers and realised the importance that an effective advanced search tool plays in that success."
