French bank Société Générale is to extend the use of disposable PIN entry authentication from individual Visa cardholders to corporate clients.
SG says the e-Carte Bleue service has won over 45,000 subscriptions from individual cardholders since its launch in April 2002.
The bank says that by extending the service to corporate users, companies will be able to conduct secure Internet purchases linked to professional expenses and benefit from reduced administration costs for specific transactions such as plane tickets, car reservations and newspaper subscriptions.
