BondDesk takes over TechHackers

BondDesk Group, a privately-held supplier of fixed income software, has acquired TechHackers, a New York-based provider of securities trading technology. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TechHackers specialises in developing technology for quantitatively complex market sectors and business areas such as derivatives, fixed income, asset securitisation and risk management.

The company says its @nalyst line of spreadsheet function add-ins and QuantTools analytic programming modules are embedded in systems serving over one hundred thousand market professionals worldwide.

Following the acquisition, TechHackers will operate within the BondDesk*Analytics division but will continue support clients from its current Manhattan headquarters.

Jan Mayle, MD of BondDesk*Analytics, says TechHackers' specialisation in quantitatively complex areas will allow BondDesk to move into new markets.
