India's ICICI Bank is using card processing technology from London-based Card Tech to launch its Visa credit card in the UK.
The bank is using CTL's hosted card processing services to issue the Visa chip and PIN cards. ICICI says the card was launched just four months after the project began.
Rohit Bhatnagar, project manager, ICICI Bank, comments: "We found CTL very flexible and experienced, enabling us to quickly complete the implementation and certification processes which resulted in our very fast time to market."
ICICI Bank is the first Indian bank to launch a credit card in the UK.
