BGZ is a provider of banking services to the Polish agribusiness sector and rural areas.

The bank recently implemented its first central computer banking system, which is replacing a number of separate branch-operated applications where customer information was recorded in multiple formats.

BGZ will use the Ascential Enterprise Integration Suite to profile, cleanse, transform and integrate customer data from these disparate source applications, allowing it to deploy a reliable CRM system.

Marek Oles, a vice president in BGZ's finance, operations and facilities division, says data quality from decentralised financial and bookkeeping systems continues to be a major challenge for financial institutions.

"By deploying the Ascential Software solution, not only are we cleaning all of our existing data, we now have the capability to introduce mechanisms that enable the correction of data entry from the beginning of the process, resulting in significant cost-savings and increased employee productivity," adds Oles.
