Standard Chartered prepares staff for Future Bank with VeriSIM

Standard Chartered Bank is using VeriSIM's Web simulation technology, T3, to train staff at its operations in Dubai, Jersey, Hong Kong, Chennai, London and Singapore ahead of the launch of its new 'Future Bank' IT project.

Standard Chartered's Future Bank project is being introduced to automate and streamline all client-facing processes. The new system will enable staff to view client profile information and contact history in order to determine any cross-selling opportunities.

The bank will use VeriSIM's T3 staff training technology to develop a customised training simulation of the new CRM systems. The bank's contact centre, relationship management and operations employees will use the simulation to learn the new functionalities and activities available.

Alison McFadyen, programme director at Standard Chartered's Jersey office, says: "When rolling out new IT systems on such a geographically diverse scale as this, we had to make sure that the training would provide the best support for the employees involved in the change.

"The demands of implementing the 'Future Bank' project are precise and we found that VeriSIM could match these stringent requirements with their simulation-based training."

James Anderson, CEO of UK-based VeriSIM, says: "When faced with a challenge to provide comprehensive staff training at a global level before new systems go live, VeriSIM's T3 platform uniquely delivers both the structure and the flexibility required."
