Insurance broker and risk management consultancy Aon has signed a ten year contract with LogicaCMG for the development and management of its business-critical applications in the UK.
LogicaCMG says the deal enables Aon UK to save up to 50% of its current applications management and outsourcing costs over the lifetime of the agreement.
Anne Boden, chief information officer of Aon UK, says: "Working with LogicaCMG will enable Aon to push the boundaries of electronic integration and operational efficiency."
Aon Corporation, Aon UK's parent company in the US, recently signed a seven-year contract, worth approximately $600m, with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for outsourced IT infrastructure support services.
