Ubizen's OnlineGuardian system provides round-the-clock remote management and monitoring of e-business networks.

Under the contract, the vendor will monitor the intrusion detection systems (IDS) that secure Credit Suisse's IT infrastructure. IDS's apply statistical anomaly and pattern-matching detection techniques to identify malicious traffic passing over a network or accessing a system.

Ralph Holbein, chief information security officer, Credit Suisse, says Ubizen was chosen for its "experience in monitoring complex IDS networks and its flexibility in tailoring its solution to our specific needs, such as compliance to cross-border data transfer regulation".

The vendor says it will work with its local Swiss partner ComProSec to implement the services.
