Patsystems has signed Okachi & Co and Mitsubishi Corporation Futures to its newly launched facilities management service in Japan.
The facilities management service is run from Patsystems' data centre in Tokyo. The vendor hosts the complete installation, including exchange gateways. Customers need only a single connection to use the service.
As well as providing trading access to TOCOM, the service connects to other Japanese exchanges including the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Osaka Stock Exchange and the Tokyo International Financial Futures Exchange.
The system also connects overseas customers to Japanese exchanges and customers in Japan can use the service to connect to overseas markets.
Commenting on the system, Kazuaki Takabatake, Patsystems' regional director for Asia, says: "It is an entry solution that opens up new opportunities for many brokers in Japan and provides them with cost-effective access to our technology."
Takabatake says the vendor will be working with other exchanges in Japan to increase market awareness of the service.
Both Okachi and Mitsubishi are clearing members of the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) and new customers for Patsystems.
