The meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, 17 January from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the offices of Merrill Lynch in New York City (4 World Financial Center, 250 Vesey Street, North Tower, 3rd Floor, Room B). Participants are invited to RSVP to John Jordan, interested parties to contact Mike Atkin.

The XML working group was formed during the FISD general membership meeting in December. The initial discussion will focus on: defining the parameters of XML for market data; outlining the plan for assessing and filling out the standard (ie standardising the nomenclature, resolving symbology, etc); and determining the process for ensuring coordination among the other major financial industry XML efforts.
