Co-op Bank pilots ATM advertising

The UK's Co-operative Bank is to pilot the use of 3rd party advertising over its cash machine network.
The bank has commissioned i-design to assess the revenue-generating potential for advertising across its 1500-strong ATM estate.
Hans Billman head of retailer & self service banking, Co-op Bank says: "I-design has considerable expertise in the area of ATM advertising which enables us to progress in a structured way to establish the business case and subsequent rollout to our AM estate."
Nationwide Building Society recently bought 1000 licenses for i-design's ATM:ad solution after conducting extensive tests across its network. The vendor says it is also exploring the potential of ATM advertising with other UK banks.
