Malaysia's EON Bank Group is use Reuters' Kondor +, Kondor Trade Processing (KTP) and Kondor Global Limits to manage its credit and risk operations.
The bank, which plans to grow its treasury and derivatives trading as well as to expand its branch trading and electronic settlement services, will use the Reuters' software to integrate disparate treasury operations and to monitor real-time, counter-party limits across the business.
Gopala Krishnan, deputy CEO, group treasury & investment banking says that integration of treasury operations will enable the bank to support risk management based on global standards as well as to exploit inter market arbitrage opportunities.
Implementation began in late December 2003 and the bank has pulled together a core team of representatives from relevant departments to undertake gap analysis, the business process re-engineering and system level integration. The whole system is expected to go live by end-2004.
