The Bank of Israel has signed up to SuperDerivatives' online foreign exchange (FX) option pricing platform.

Ben Schreiber, head of research, FX activity department, Bank of Israel, says: "SuperDerivatives gives as the ability to watch the currency derivatives markets on a daily basis as well as pricing advanced financial instruments like structures and exotic options."

Schreiber says the system's analytic tools will also help the bank carry out detailed analyses of the FX market.

SuperDerivatives chief executive, David Gershon, says: "It is vital that institutions have in place the equipment to monitor their FX risk properly and design and then manage appropriate hedging strategies."
