Four of the leading credit card issuers in Japan are to implement online cardholder authentication using NNT Data's hosted Verified by Visa platform.
NTTData's service is hosted in Tokyo and uses technology from Irish payments security firm Orbiscom to provide Visa and MasterCard password-based authentication. It has been selected by Sumitomo Mitsui Card, Nippon Shinpan, DC Card and Aeon Credit Service.
